For those sticking around and wondering if there's a mailing list, etc...Well, not yet there isn't. BUT there is this LJ, which will be periodically updated with news on what's going on and what we're deciding and what we're doing and, you know, LJ stuff related in some way to Subby. SO just up and friend the LJ if you want to know what's going on in the future.

Thanks for all of your support, we just need a bit of a break right now. Whether or not that break becomes permanent is out of my hands, so everyone just sit tight until things cool down.

Sarah is currently going through exams, moving out, work, and general stress.

I'm going through exams, work, general stress, and writing a novel I plan to make into a series of books which I will ideally have published one day.

Right now I'm working on book 1/4 in one of the planned series in the world I've created. It's fantasy, but does involve a few Subby characters in a new universe (not their original one, no, but another they've been plopped into).

Cerin
Talis
Cards
Eekie

And a few people I'm quite familiar with that not many of you are.

Sarah and I have also been kicking around the idea for a manga submission after Subby is finished (in comic version or text version, whatever happens) so once I finish the first book I might start writing up a story for a manga to be submitted in actual deadtree format from TokyoPop. Who knows.

Anywho, you're all wonderful people and thank you for a general lack of 'YOU SUCK FOR QUITTING!!1! I HATE YOU!!11!' messages that I kind of feared/expected. We're still here, we haven't left and haven't abandoned you. We just need a break.

There are some amazing fics in the forums if anyone needs a fix and hasn't been there to look. The link is in the menu at the side.

We all have stress and stuff so I understand. I just wish others did too. After all you guys have a life and cant just focus on an online comic. Well I hope things turn out for the best and I will be checking that lj. I was so hoping for an update today...*sniff* Oh well. Good luck and I'll be here waiting like many others.

Sounds like you got some amazing plans. I'll keep my toes crossed that they work out.

I hope the exams go well for you both. I can remember how much of a stressful, ass-kicking bitch exams are (shhhh it was NOT the dark ages - that was my mom).

It kills this to say this but take as long as you need...draw for yourselves, not us. I for one will still be checkin Sub every monday, wednesday and friday even if you don't update, i'll just be reading it again.

I hope the exams go okay!

Hey, I've never said anything before, but I had to tell you how amazing your comic is. I've been reading it for over a year. It's a lovely lovely thing. But we all understand Breaks are always needed from time to time.

I've just recently found your comic, and I immediately fell in love with it. Not many people are skilled or brave enough to illustrate something so...intense. Thank goodness you do it well. It's obvious that whatever you decide to do will be acceptable and supported by your fans. I'll just have to be another one of your fans. n__n

Of course we not hate you! I think a can speak for most of your fans when I say that we're sad that Sublunary is ending (or at least not gonna update for a while) but we understand that you need a break. Real life must come first and we all respect that and hope that things will turn out great for you in the future.

I have been following this manga for a long time and never thought it would come to an end without a proper ending. The ending I forsaw was a happy one, but I suppose I might never know now, sadly. I hope you start it back up again. Not soon, unless you wish, but, ya know, to have the knowing and feeling that you didn't let down your readers. X3 <3 But make sure to get that break and enjoy it fully. Because when you start the manga back up again, hopefully, you'll either feel great!... or... you'll feel like crap. o.o;;

I doubt the person writing the little journal or such entrees will read this, but this what I had to say so I said it.

i hope everything goes well and i can only hope that you can pull it all together and plunge back into subby later.
After all, it's an amazing storyline and the plot develops nicely
As well as the fantastic art (some on which is now poster-sized on my walls, than you very much) and neat intermission.

I'm sad to see the end of Sublunary... my friend introduced it to me in the summer of 2004 when I introduced her to Avalon... I've been reading since (and I read the updates prior to my joining in on it). To check for updates has always been the first thing I do when connecting to my internet on (well, you know how the schedule was. MWF).

I'm really going to miss reading it. One of my own characters for a book I'm writing is (extremely) loosely based off of Talis. But, like they have said before (and it sounds so cliche...)...

"All good things must come to an end."

Whether or not Sublunary continues is not up to me. I just wish you both the best of luck in whatever you choose to do in the future.

This has got to be the saddest thing to happen in, I dunno, a million billion years. Seriously! Reading Sublunary is my all-time favorite guilty pleasure. I look forward to it SO much. Anyway, I just got back home from a MONTH LONG visit with my mum, and was absolutely dying to get caught up on everything. (She has dial up and a lousy computer to boot, so I didn't get to check the site the whole time I was gone.) So I get back and unpack and things, and come here only to find that it's gone! You can't imagine the heartbreak that followed... Anyway, I suppose this is getting a bit longer than I'd like, so I'll just say that I hope you do well in your finals and everything else. I hope you find the relaxation you seek. And I hope you decide to start up the comic again. Because otherwise you'll force me to try my hand at fanart. But I'll stick around and see what happens. No matter how long you guys are gone.

Im so sad. But i totally understand the whole needing a break. Im sure everyone does. ^^ Everyone needs a break everyonce in a while. Congrats on the novel and on the manga idea. :)

Considering the nature of the comic, I would hope only people who are mature in some manner would be reading it. As much as it saddens me that this means I won't see any new yaoi scenes for a while, I won't explode from lack of hot boi smex. :3 You guys just take however long you need, I'll be waiting.

*HUGS* I love you guys! your work is amazing. Subby has got to be one of my top favorite comics. You deserve a break and though it pains me to say it take as long as you need. I'll still be waiting when you come back. I hope you'll let us know when you find out what you two are going to do. If you do make a book or manga I will buy it the moment i see it. Until you update or make a book I will continue to read and be content reading what is there and bios.

I just started reading this a couple days ago and I must say your comic is absolutely wonderful. Imagine my surprise when I reach the last page and read the message ^^;. But it's ok. I draw as well and I understand when one needs a break O.o. But you guys sound like you need it more than anyone. So enjoy your free time. Focus on yourselves for the time being. As much as I'd love to see more, I can't force you guys to do anything. So enjoy it, and hopefully you'll grace us once again with the rest of your story if you decide to do so.

I just want to thank you guys for providing us with such a wonderful comic to read and enjoy.
Yeah, I'm sad that it's on hold indefinitely but I loved it and will continue to re-read it as often as I can.
And hopefully someday you guys will be back and we'll get more. =]

In the mean time I hope you guys enjoy your break and get a chance to do all the things you plan on doing. ((HUGS))
